A Group Gathering is a collaborative project instigated by UK artist Kathleen Murphy. Each year a different group of artists are invited to participate in the project, which starts with a specific vintage item. The artists are asked to respond creatively to the provided item. Alice took part in the project in 2014: The Shirt Collar Project. The starting point was a vintage shirt collar. Alice deconstructed her collar, recording the process by making a series of blind embossing and mono-type prints onto paper and fabric using the collar components. The prints were deconstructed further and then re-constructed as a series of three small artists books.
